In point of fact, I find that during the hectic holiday season, I rely on my Bullet Journal much more than usual. Because there are so many additional items on my to-do list, I have switched from utilising a weekly spread to a daily spread in my planner ( as well as lots more events and appointments to remember). There are also some additional bullet journal layouts that I use to battle the overwhelming feeling of Christmas and get organised for the upcoming holiday season.

So I don’t know about you but Christmas in our house was always filled with piles and piles of family members. An insane amount. But since I moved countries and now dont have family other than my son, I find it far more lonely and there is just us celebrating Christmas.
Every year my mother and I would make a Christmas tree out of a pine branch and string up decorations. One year however, after the previous year we got lazy and used a twig with soap on a rope as the decorations…..we walked into a gardening center and bought an entire tree off the display stand! I’ll remember forever.
It was our last christmas together. The Tree was pink and gold and it was gorgeous. It looked like a typical display tree that someone makes, and it was perfect.
I was also the master of making delicious Christmas fruit punch and let me tell you something – it packed a punch! One year my uncle had so much he got in a fight with my other uncle and PUNCHED HIM! From then onwards the punch was always called Christmas “PUNCH”-up

Some interesting facts about the Month December
The month of December is the twelfth and final month of the Gregorian calendar, and it falls between the months of November and January.
The month of December, in general, is dominated nearly entirely by a wide variety of Christmas practises and rituals, with very little attention being paid to anything else during this time period.
Complaining about the weather has a tendency to consume whatever little mental capacity we have left over for concentrating on something else than the weather.
The season of winter has officially arrived in the northern hemisphere, so individuals living there should get ready for dark days spent indoors nestled close to the heater.
The bright side is that now is the perfect time to read all of those books you’ve been meaning to get to but haven’t had the chance to yet!
It should not come as a surprise that the month of December looks very different for people who reside in the southern hemisphere.
At this point, summer has started in earnest, and the temperature is only going to continue to rise from here on out.
It’s important to remember to drink enough of water and wait until the evening to get out and about when it’s hot during the day in December in the southern hemisphere since the temperature can reach dangerously high levels.
There are however some bright sides, such as the fact that this is the perfect season for throwing barbecues and pool parties.
- The name December comes from the Latin decem for “ten”, as it was the 10th month in the Roman Calendar.
- The first artificial Christmas tree was made in Germany, fashioned out of goose feathers that are dyed green!
- “Jingle bells” was composed in 1857, and not for Christmas – it was meant to be a Thanksgiving song!
